I hope they don't use these guys as DeadPool 1 and 2 were absolutely shocking. Please, please don't use these guys or that will be the end of Pirates.

Heads up pirates... angry editorial comments ahead!
IF Johnny wants to do more Pirates? Or if he doesn't want to do any more Pirates? I'm good with whatever works for HIM. Heads up Disney! It's not POTC without Depp.
Social media took a simple "bit" about a POSSIBLE reboot and went hysterical. No, I don't want to see a reboot. To me, ANY POTC better have Capt. Jack. And Capt. Jack better be played by Johnny Depp. Or don't count on any pirate gold from me or my crew.
Now. I wish "Hollywood" would quit rebooting and remaking movies and TV shows. CAN'T TODAY'S generation of writers THINK ON THEIR OWN?
I mean, we just had the 4th, count 'em, FOURTH version of A STAR IS BORN. Originally released in 1937! That's 81 years ago. Yes, it's a darn good story, but... can't people come up with some new ideas? Reboot this, re-imagine that.
If the original "imagineer" himself, Mr. Walter Elias Disney had not drawn an animated mouse in STEAM BOAT WILLIE in 1928 (yes folks, do the math all by yourself, think a bit) 90 NINETY years ago? We wouldn't be having this conversation at all, as there never would have been a DisneyLand, and never would have been a PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN ride, and then no Capt. Jack Sparrow and no Academy Award nominated portrayal of Sparrow by Mr. Johnny Depp. The POTC ride was the last attraction personally supervised by Mr. Disney himself.
Yes I'm ticked that people can't imagine, cant' think on their own anymore, and these re-dos, remakes, updates and re-imagined projects shouldn't be all that Hollywood or Broadway is pumping out.
Think people. Think.
Rant over.
For now.

I totally agree . I can remember about 10 years ago they were saying that they had so much new stuff and ideas that they would be overwhelmed for years to come. I'm still waiting ! So what happened ?

The POTC films, with their faults, were still entertaining fun--somewhat dark at times, some romance & good ol' fashioned pirating! I never saw Deadpool films & have no desire to see them, so not sure about this writing team for Pirates. Guess it's a wait and see, but I'm definitely out if Johnny isn't back...
